MOLO Hack: Potty Training With Alexa

How brilliant is this potty training parenting hack from Leanne Page in The Motherload® Facebook group?

Leanne told the MOLOs how she had the total brainwave of getting Alexa to help with potty training her 3 year old son – GENIUS!:

POTTY TRAINING

I don’t know if everyone has already thought of this and I’m a bit behind but I thought I’d share.

I have a echo dot (Alexa) in my kitchen. I ask her to set a reminder for every 40 minutes for “Archie to sit on the potty” it’s great because she says “Archie to sit on the potty” and he thinks it’s brilliant!! It has been so successful and really helped with his potty training!

We reward him with a sticker and I think the photo speaks for itself. Potty training has been a nightmare in our house with movicol and all sorts so I’m feeling happy this morning we finally are making some progress. He starts school in September so feeling the pressure a bit now.

What a brilliant idea! While most of us are just using Alexa to play music or fart (you know you do) here’s Leanne solving one of THE GREAT PARENTING STRUGGLES. Respect to you Leanne.

Loads of members commented on what a genius idea it was, including Aimee who said “Oooh this is an amazing idea! My daughter is being a right pain about potty training, she’s 3 and a half and knows what to do she just chooses not to. But she LOVES Alexa so this might just work!”

Leanne’s brilliant MOLO hack even caught the attention of the media and is now hopefully helping loads of other parents with the delights of potty training. You can read more in The Sun, Mailonline, The Mirror and her idea has even gone as far as Australia.
