The Best Way To Take CBD Oil

The Best Way To Take CBD Oil

CBD is everywhere these days but it has been used to treat certain medical conditions for thousands of years. People have found it great for treating a number of medical conditions and symptoms. But CBD oil, even with flavours added can be best described as ‘earthy’ and is very much an acquired taste that some people can get used to and others can’t.

If CBD oil drops aren’t your thing then there are a number of other options that might work for you if you’re determined to give CBD a try.

What is CBD used for

CBD is legal in most countries as it does not contain the psychotropic ingredient THC which is found in cannabis.  Therefore you do not get the ‘high’ associated with cannabis but do get the same painkilling effects which many people prefer.

Although more research needs to be done on the use of CBD for particular conditions, there are a number of symptoms that can be treated with CBD oil including:

  • Pain relief
  • Reducing anxiety and depression
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Skin conditions such as acne
  • Insomnia
  • Poor appetite

The amount you take is dependent on your symptoms, your tolerance to CBD and the way in which you take it. Different methods take varying amounts of time to work. For example, sublingual use of CBD drops under the tongue can work very quickly.

Vapes

These are extremely popular these days, with many smokers choosing to vape because it is healthier than smoking cigarettes. You can also get CBD in vape cartridges too, which can be infused with flavours and are easier to carry around than a bottle of CBD oil. Vapes also get the CBD oil into your system faster but do not last as long as ingesting.

Gummies

CBD infused sweets are perfect for carrying around in your bag and pocket and are much more discreet than other methods, making them perfect for taking just about anywhere. Gummies are tasty too. Choosing to take CBD in this form can take longer to get into your system but the effects can last longer.

Topical creams

CBD creams can be rubbed directly onto the skin. You can find it in patches, massage oils and other types of lotions. If you’re treating swelling or arthritis, this topical application can work really well for you.

While these are great for targeted application to a particular area of your body, you may have to use a greater amount to get the best effect.

Other methods

If you look around you will find all sorts of products with CBD oil. From makeup and skin cream to drinks, you’ll be able to find it in just about anything. Try not to fall for the fad products though, CBD lipstick is probably not going to do much for you. As with all treatments, you should take the time to research the best quality options for you and build up the dosage until you find the right level.
