Tips To Make Planning Your Wedding Less Stressful

Tips To Make Planning Your Wedding Less Stressful

For some people, planning their wedding is a dream come true. For others, it’s their worst nightmare. There’s so much to plan, decide and organise. It can be quite overwhelming.

Unless you have a huge budget and a wedding planner, it’s a good idea to look for ways to make wedding planning easier.

Use a separate email address

You probably receive hundreds of emails every week. It’s easy for important messages to get lost in the deluge of other emails. Create a separate email address and use it for all of your wedding-related correspondence. It’s extremely useful for:

  • Having all of your wedding emails in one place.
  • Being able to ignore it when you’re taking a break from planning. You won’t be able to relax if the emails are sneaking into your personal inbox.
  • Once the wedding is over and done with, you can close the email down, and along with it, the hundreds of newsletters and promotional emails you’ll receive until the end of time.

Use a separate bank account too

Weddings are expensive and it’s easy to lose track of your spending. Put all of your wedding money into one account and use it only for wedding-related expenses. That way you can see exactly what you’re spending and how much money you have left to play with.

Use the same venue for the wedding and reception

If you’re not getting married in a Church, then it can make logistical and financial sense to have your wedding, reception and nighttime event at the same location. Places live Clevedon Hall have special packages that cover all of your wedding day needs from breakfast to dancefloor.

Try electronic invites and RSVPs

Bespoke wedding invitations have become a complicated, expensive addition to wedding planning. However, there are a number of ways to use technology to create a beautiful wedding invitation. You can send a customised invitation via email or text message. If you’re worried that it won’t be special, you can still have it beautifully designed and can even add video or music to it for that special touch.

Another great advantage of this is that you can gather all of your RSVPs in one place. You can see at a glance who’s coming, who isn’t and what the special requirements are.

Create a wedding website

A simple, elegant website can save you a lot of time and effort. You can include all the details of your wedding alongside any information about venue, dress code, menus and accommodation.

You could even have your registry list on there or a portal where people can send money as a wedding gift rather than a present.

Instead of fielding hundreds of questions from well-meaning guests in the run up to your wedding, you can simply point them to the website.

Remember that your wedding day is about you (and your partner)

It’s easy to turn yourself into a ball of anxiety trying to please parents, friends and relatives. But remember, they are there to share your special day, not the other way around. Plan the wedding that you want, you’ll never regret it.
