Love Another Mother

Love Another Mother

The Motherload is all about raising women up and supporting one another, without judgment. We are celebrating our third birthday on Sunday 3rd June and we don’t want any fancy presents or champagne – we just want YOU to Love Another Mother.

We’ve been on a mission for the last three years to get mums to forget their differences – whether it’s feeding choices, parenting styles, or differing opinions – and to come together, help each other out, acknowledge that being a mum is HARD and know that when we have each other’s backs things are SO much better! We’ve seen some incredible things happen in The Motherload as a result of our ethos and what better way to celebrate three years of MOLO love than to spread a little kindness?

You can make your promise to #LoveAnotherMother, by doing two simple things:

1. Make a heart-hands photo and share it on social media

We want as many mums as possible to be kinder and less judgmental – to Love Another Mother – on social media. On Sunday 3rd June, make a heart with your hands, take a selfie (or get one of your kids to take a photo of you) and share it on social media with #LoveAnotherMother. Don’t forget to tag us on @themotherloadhq on Instagram and Twitter or on @wearethemotherload on our Facebook page and we will share as many as possible. We’ll also be running a thread in The Motherload Facebook Group where you can join in and celebrate our birthday with us!

2. Make that pledge a reality by doing a random act of kindness for a fellow mum.

It’s completely up to you what you do for your random act of kindness, and how you do it. You could tell a mum you know just how amazing they really are, hand a bunch of tulips to a mum you pass by on the street, or leave an anonymous gift for a mum in a baby changing room (Click here to find out how MOLO moderator Ren Benson did this all around York), or you could offer a struggling mum a helping hand or tell her she rocks and should join The Motherload!

We’ve seen so many amazing random acts of kindness in The Motherload, including special gifts sent to premature babies, a single mum being sent Mother’s Day gifts by a fellow member, and one time, a member in The Netherlands was able to deliver goodies to another MOLO’s friend who was in hospital there – amazing!

Tell us what you’re up to on Sunday 3rd June by using #LoveAnotherMother on FacebookInstagram and Twitter and don’t forget to tag us!

Let’s make things better for mums online and in real life, by promising to #LoveAnotherMother.

Love Kate and Alison,

Founder and Editor of The Motherload
